Video Oral History Collection

Order Video Oral History Collection

Some oral histories have been recorded on SVHS video and reproduced on VHS video. The interviews were recorded for the purpose of producing documentary videos. Documentaries produced by the Research Center include Minnesota Civilian Conservation Corps: We Can Take It, Minnesota Mining, A New Beginning, Natural Iron Ore Mining, A Last Look, Passport in Time: The Prehistory of Minnesota, Superior Images, a History of the Superior National Forest. Additional interviews were done with World War II Veterans as part of the 50th Anniversary of the End of WWII, 1995.

The original interviews for most of these productions are on file at the Research Center. Most have been transcribed.

Tapes and transcripts can be used at the Library or can be accessed by interlibrary loan.

Copies of the video documentaries can be purchased from the Iron Range Research Center.
